You are ordered to proceed to the village of Olisha, In order to defend this village from possible attack. On arrival you are to position your men around the village and to hold this ground at all cost.<br />

<br />
Don’t target any support vehicles or any of the independent forces, because their friendly to both sides<br />

If you are killed you will respawn after 20 seconds, vehicles will also respawn after a 20 second delay unlocked, for use at your discretion If you become injured, or just low on ammo, then your group leader can send you an ambulance, or an ammo truck, ideally you will need to be near a road or on open ground, for this to work well,<br />

The red area on the map is Opfor territory or base, the green area is Blufor territory or base, you will find support vehicles, and other vehicles for your use here, these areas are also considered as rest areas, you’re not allowed in these areas (enemy bases) violators will be hunted down by the respective fire teams<br />

Opfor stand against AI Blufor and AI Independent forces to protect the 4 radar towers</span><br />

<span style="font-weight: bold">Mission</span> <br />
<br />
To destroy your radar towers the independence forces need to place a unit next to them to trigger a bomb, all 4 radar towers must be destroyed for the independent forces to win &amp;#xA0;<br />
<br />
Blufor want to keep the radar towers intact so they must kill as many Independent forces and Opfor units as possible, but to win they must destroy at least 2 thirds of Opfor units in the base within a 30 second time delay to aid them in this task they have a mine in the centre of the Base, that can only be triggered next to the wire fence so they have to get in very close to be able to trigger it, after 30 seconds Opfor units start to respawn <br />
<br />
Opfor (you) must now defend all 4 radar towers, and destroy both Independent and Blufor units, but to win you must have at least 1 radar tower remaining after 1 hour of game play <br />
<br />
To aid Opfor you can remotely trigger mines from machine gun sheds placed in your base<br />
<br />
<span style="font-weight: bold">Notes</span><br />
<br />
Opfor after taking control of a Blufor base need to defend it against angry Blufor, and Independent forces, which incidentally both sides see as a tactical advantage<br />
<br />
The Independent forces want to destroy the 4 radar towers to bring a swift end to a long raging battle, taking place between Blufor and Opfor forces, in what they consider to be their territory<br />
<br />
But Blufor need radar towers intact for their own tactical advantage and air defence systems<br />
<br />

This is intended as a training mission for snipers, but it is also a great team player, its best to play a sniper position and were possible, to leave spotter positions for stronger players, because spotters command and target enemies for the snipers<br />
<br />
Never target independent forces, they drive ambulances, ammo trucks, etc and are friendly to both sides, if you go too far into the enemy base, then you will be hunted down<br />
<br />
Opfor occupies the red area and Blufor is shown in the green area on your map, if you leave your sniper area this is ok but your team is at risk of being punished by Ai anti spawn killing teams, these include a group of fighting men accompanied by apcs, no body is allowed to target these teams or apcs, you will need to hide from them, and make it your priority to get back to your own team area<br />
<br />
Some times AI spotting commanders will target the apcs for you to attack, but You must ignore these request and just go back to your own area<br />
<br />
<span style="font-weight: bold">Notes</span><br />
<br />
Never target independent forces, ambulances, ammo trucks, apcs etc If you are injured your spotter should send you an ambulance as soon as one is available, the same applies for ammo trucks, the code for this is f2 i.e. selects your unit then press 6 then select the number from the drop down menu that corresponds to the action you require, heal at ambulance, ammo etc,<br />

Always stay in your own team area i.e. red for Opfor green for Blufor the border is indicated by yellow boxes painted on the floor and a row of destroyed T72 tanks Do not target your own team mates or apcs even if ordered to do so by your AI spotting commander have fun<br />

<br />
You join an on going battle in the city of Chernogorsk. This battle is taking place because two months before their was a massacre at the village of Olsha, this is believed to be the work of Opfor rebels, over a border dispute, leaving many dead and half berried, after this massacre, Opfor rebels continue their rein of terror, spreading from village to village murdering any opposition, and recruiting more followers for their cause, eventually massing to the south west of Chernogorsk, Waiting for a final show down, with the local authorities who incidentally have the backing of Blufor forces massing to the north east of Chernogorsk and forming a coalition, to try and restore order and stability to the area<br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-weight: bold">Notes</span><br />
<br />
All ambulances air or otherwise are driven by the independence, who are friendly to both sides, and must never be targeted they include support vehicles both from Blufor and Opfor army’s<br />
<br />
If any vehicle is abandoned or destroyed after 20 seconds they will return to their original start positions, empty, and unlocked, for you to use at your own discretion<br />
<br />
If any Ai or player is killed after 20 seconds, they will respawn in their respective bases<br />
<br />
The mission ends after 1.5 hours of game play, unless Opfor or Blufor are forced back to their bases and held there for 3 minuets, away from the inner city areas or the main battle area<br />

Opfor has decided to invade this small island instead of negotiating with its people, because they see them as a powerless, and of little importance to the rest of the world, but there wrong, so in ignorance they begin there attack on the city of Strelka from the north while a defence force Blufor is massing from the South in order to re establish the islands place in the free world<br />

<br />
<span style="font-weight: bold">Some tips and rules for game play</span><br />
<br />
Game play is intended for at least one player or group leader, one for Opfor and or one for Blufor, at least one of these roles must be taken first, or the mission will remain largely inactive, all group leaders spawn in at their respective bases with thirteen playable units at their disposal, you also have four choppers, and three vehicles, including four support vehicles, to aid you in capturing the bus, there are also two other teams one in each base known as fire teams<br />
<br />
Fire teams, are base guarding teams (anti spawn killing teams) and are held on a hold way points at there respective bases, so for this reason fire teams are not that desirable positions to play, if you want to play these roles you will need to wait for other players to join the server and take up the remaining group leading roles before being able to guard the base against possible enemy attacks<br />
<br />
There are three bases one for Opfor and one for Blufor and one for the independent all three are marked with a coloured square, one green = Blufor and one red = Opfor and one yellow = independent, none of the teams must penetrate each others air space, or base, such an act is considered spawn killing, and you will be attacked whilst in this space by the defending fire team or warlord etc<br />
<br />
You are allowed to destroy the bus when giving chase to recapture it from the enemy, and it will respawn at its starting point; obviously the enemy will respond in similar fashion, back and forth<br />
<br />
The bus is spawned into the centre of the map and its starting point is marked by a yellow square, all vehicles if left abandoned will respawn at their starting point after a five minuet delay, and will respawn after a 15 seconds delay if destroyed, if you are killed you will respawn after twenty seconds at your base<br />

Blufor spawn in their base, namely The Blufor command strong hold, all group leaders have two subordinates under their command, a sniper and a medic<br />
<br />
The mission begins at first light on Wednesday the 1/5/1985 at 0600 hours, Blufor are surrounded by the enemy, you are the last remaining survivors, following a fierce battle over land rights<br />
<br />
<span style="font-weight: bold">Notes</span><br />
<br />
<br />
It’s always best for players to take a Blufor commanding role because Blufor AI group leaders automatically play the defensive role of the base, meaning their held on a hold way points, if they die they respawn randomly over the map and make their way back to this central base<br />
<br />
It’s not a good ideal to target aircraft or their pilots their set never to fire and wont ever harm you, they help the mission to flow by telling the Opfor guards were you are. (Spotters) with out them, you will have to find the enemy to win. With them the enemy come to you, saving you time having to drive to much lol so I leave the final decision to you<br />
<br />
Never target any ambulances they are driven by the independence and will help heal both sides<br />
<br />
Neutral help stations if you’re injured and alone try and drag your self to one of these and on arrival you will often find an ambulance waiting there to heal you and others. But on the rare occasion that you don’t find one, you can stand or lie next to the T72 wreck and wait 4 seconds to radio for help, and then a BMP ambulance will come to this location this takes about 10 minuets or longer<br />
<br />
Upon your death you will respawn after 20 seconds randomly on the map, but this is no problem, just make your way to the nearest neutral empty truck (yellow square) and rejoin your friends or continue on your mission, empty neutral trucks are always within a 6 minuet run from you maximum<br />
<br />
If you abandon any vehicle found in the countryside or village then they will respawn after 5 minuets at their start position. But if you abandon any vehicle taken from Opfor held airports they don’t respawn at their start point for 4 hours. You get to keep them so you can build up your team base or bases<br />
<br />
There is a map key on the right hand side of your map, to explain the markers you will find<br />
<br />
The mission will end on time out after 12 hours, if all enemies are not eliminated from the green zone before this time, then Opfor wins<br />
<br />
Opfor groups spawn in the map random and attack Blufor units on sight, but Opfor Fire teams Guard their airport bases only<br />

Blufor forces at Balota airfield, and OPFOR airfield are being held on standby, because of problems and some violence from both sides in Rogovo after the recent discovery of oil deposits in the area, It is obvious to both sides that this oil deep under the strata is of great value, both powers claim this oil is in there territorial area and intend to defend Rogovo at all costs<br />
<br />
Over time war breaks out in Rogovo, so both powers give the order to invade and hold Rogovo, and you’re off into the action<br />
<br />
The mission is won if either side are not present in Rogovo i.e. the (Yellow area on your map) for at least three minuets, or teams become tied if the battle runs on for an hour = i.e. time out<br />
<br />
<span style="font-weight: bold">Notes</span><br />
<br />
Don’t target civilians or independent forces they are friendly to both sides, the independence drive ambulances and some supporting vehicles<br />
<br />
If you become injured your group leader should be well prepared for this kind of problem, he can send you an ambulance or a corpsman, if either are available, however if you find yourself alone and injured unable to walk it is important to drag yourself to or near a road or open area so the ambulance can get to you<br />
<br />
If after a reasonable time you think the situation is a lost cause you can select esc then select respawn, and you will soon be back in the action<br />
<br />
If you are killed you will randomly respawn after 20 seconds also all vehicles if abandoned or destroyed respawn at there start positions unlocked for your use after a 20 second delay<br />
<br />
Both bases are highlighted on the map red = OPFOR green = BLUFOR Yellow = battle zone, the red and green zones also indicate spawn killing areas your not allowed in your enemy bases and you will be hunted down if you are found in these areas. <br />

This mission is intended for a minimum of two players one for each side, it is a seek and destroy mission, so if only one player is available on the sever, then you can practice some of the commands below, and try to destroy the enemy group leader and enemy AI units, located at sea, or located in the enemy base, or just about anywhere within the black circle shown on the map<br />
<br />
But you can still win or lose and have some fun while waiting for others to join the server, if you are the only player on the server then don’t play fire team positions, because AI units don’t usually attack the bases and fire teams are intended as base guards only<br />
<br />
<span style="font-weight: bold">Notes</span><br />
<br />
This mission takes place both on land and in the sea, there are two enemy forces Opfor and Blufor, some of the groups from both sides are playable others are not, if there are only two or less players on the server then it is always best to play a leading role (group leader) when the mission starts you initially spawn at your base, you arrive on a way point you can ignore this way point if desired its only there to help AI to role play in the absence of a player, your are therefore free to do as you see fit<br />
<br />
There are two bases one for Blufor marked in your map with a green coloured border and one for Opfor marked with a red coloured border, the yellow border is the battle zone, and the black border is the limit of travel any player (group leader) can navigate, if any group leader with the exception of fire team leaders travel beyond the limits of this black circle then after 60 seconds the mission will end declaring the opposite team the winners<br />
<br />
So the objective of both Opfor and Blufor teams is for both group leaders of the opposing teams to hunt each other down and destroy each other, AI controlled units on both sides are also engaged in the hunt, thus ending the mission when one of the group leaders has been destroyed 5 times, how ever there is a time limit for this engagement to be fulfilled of no less than two hours, after two hours the mission ends and is declared a draw<br />
<br />
Never target the independence they operate BMP2 ambulances and a med evacuation chopper also some friendly air craft they are set on never to fire and will help heal both teams<br />
<br />
When players die they respawn after 30 seconds including group leaders, however group leaders they only have an allowance of 5 respawns after this is reached the mission ends<br />
<br />
Fire teams are basically base guards and should remain in the base but players who wish to play these positions are free to roam were they wish and if they so desire can leave the base and go in to the sea or even attack the enemy base, help track down the whereabouts of the enemy group leader etc and destroy him or her, but be advised there are hidden mine fields surrounding both bases, on land and in the sea<br />
<br />
<span style="font-weight: bold">Giving orders</span><br />
<br />
Ordering a unit into a boat whilst your you and your team are in the water is not easy unless you know how, you as the group leader must first order the driver to your position at sea, after his arrival, you must then order the driver of his boat or tank to a gunner position or to a back seat i.e. select a unit press f2 to select unit 2 then press number 4 then make your selection from the drop down menu after this has been achieved then order any of your units to get into the boat say f3 then press 4 but do not put him or her into the drivers position, if there are still others waiting to load the boat/tank. After you have loaded all your remaining units get in yourself and your done. Otherwise the driver will run to the nearest beach and wait to be loaded there, say maybe 2000 or more metres away, if this happens you need to tell the driver to eject and start the loading process again<br />
<br />
If your stranded at sea and your swimming you have several choices, 1 open your map then swim to the nearest neutral boat approximately 4 minuets away within the yellow border but out side of this a possible 15 minuets away. Option 2 order one of your units into a boat/tank etc assuming he or she is back at the base, get the unit to walk to a map icon of a boat/tank (see map key) then on there arrival open your map again, select your unit then click on the map icon for a boat/tank to load him or her into, the drivers seat of the vehicle this being the obvious choice, and get him or her to rescue you, by ordering him or her to move to your position. Then load and get in as above etc<br />
<br />
In this mission you can be rescued by a chopper but only if it is being played and is not under AI control<br />
<br />
If you are stranded at sea and injured, you can heal at a BMP2 ambulance if one is within reasonable swimming distance, or you can heal at your medic if one is stranded at sea with you, If you are in good health but one of your units is injured then order your unit to heal at BMP2 ambulance or medical chopper and they will move to him, you can also drive all the supporting vehicles yourself, but to do this you need to get into the back seat first, then move into the drivers seat via the command menu this will make the driver leave the vehicle or move to the back seat, then when your ready use the vehicle etc for your purpose, after you finish with it you must leave via the back seat via the command menu or you can just exit the vehicle i.e. eject or get out after this &amp;#xA0;get back into the back seat of the vehicle then get out or eject, this will reset the driver to get in the driver seat and return the vehicle to its spawn point<br />

This mission starts at an established Blufor (WESTERN FORCES) base in Pulkovo you need to defend this base and roam the countryside within the marked area around the base and look for Opfor (EASTERN ENEMIES)<br />

<br />
You will find the independence and civilians are very friendly to both sides (NEUTRAL) this mission will run for one hour and thirty minuets before Opfor win on time out unless Opfor are eliminated before this time expires<br />
<br />
Never target independence forces, or civilians some of these include ambulances and support vehicles MI 17 civilian choppers and all MV 22 aircraft<br />
<br />
There are independent air ambulances, these can and are often used to heal AI members of your group, and enemy groups, but cant be used by players i.e. group leaders to heal themselves or other players, and must never be targeted for any reason<br />
<br />
Blufor teams respawn at there Base after a 20 second delay all vehicles also respawn after abandonment or destruction after 20 seconds including all enemy vehicles and friendly choppers etc. for your use, they are all unlocked, be advised if you leave a vehicle it will return to its starting point after a 20 second delay<br />
<br />
Eventually you may become injured. A good group leader will be well prepared for this (some groups have corpsmen others don’t) and have an ambulance already manned, or your group leader can send and independence ambulance to your location, its best to drag yourself to an open area or a road to allow better access for your ambulance when it arrives etc<br />
<br />
If you are killed and respawn at your base you can fly back to your team mates in a chopper or drive back in an ambulance or armoured vehicle or just follow orders etc<br />

Don’t target any support vehicles or any of the independent forces, because their friendly to both sides<br />

If you are killed you will respawn after 30 seconds, but only a maximum of 20 respawns applies to both Blufor group leaders so its your job to take good care of your leader, subordinates can respawn indefinitely, vehicles will also respawn after a 20 second delay unlocked, for use at your discretion If you become injured, or just low on Ammo, then your group leader can send you an ambulance, or order you to collect Ammo from one of the many Ammo crates available, ideally if you need an ambulance you will have to walk or drag yourself to one because they cant navigate the trees in this location.<br />

Blufor teams have an armed group leader but all subordinates are unarmed, they still have a lot of punch in the following sense if they get close to you they can trigger mines in some locations these locations are noted in your map view within the green circle and outside of the red circle they can also set off green smoke shells when their in or near your base<br />
<br />
The independence are friendly to both sides and must never be targeted they drive ambulances and will give medical attention to both sides its best to drag yourself to an open space or a road to allow better access for the arriving ambulance<br />
<br />
Game play ends after 45 minutes<br />

The following answer applies to both a single player unit, and playable units or Groups in MP missions<br />
<br />
1. Create a single or MP mission using the ArmA2 Editor.<br />
<br />
2. Save your new mission as a 'User Mission' and name it whatever you like. Exit the game.<br />
<br />
3. Open a blank Notepad &amp;#x26; insert 2 lines of text: <br />
<br />
Respawn = [Respawn Type];<br />
Respawn delay = [Delay in Seconds]; <br />
<br />
Substitute respawns or respawns time delays in seconds <br />
Types are:<br />
0 or &amp;#x22;NONE&amp;#x22; = No Respawn<br />
1 or &amp;#x22;BIRD&amp;#x22; = Respawn as a seagull<br />
2 or &amp;#x22;INSTANT&amp;#x22; = Respawn just where you died<br />
3 or &amp;#x22;BASE&amp;#x22; = Respawn at a base marker<br />
4 or &amp;#x22;GROUP&amp;#x22; = respawn in your groups<br />
5 or &amp;#x22;SIDE&amp;#x22; = respawn in your sides<br />
<br />
For example:<br />
Respawn =3;<br />
Respawn delay =4;<br />
<br />
4. Close &amp;#x26; name this new file Description.ext and save it to your mission folder this can be found at My Documents/ArmA 2 Other Profiles /your profile name/missions/ mission name. There should be a .sqm file there of the name you gave the mission. Note that if it gets saved as Description.ext.txt' rename it and remove the '.txt'. It then becomes a Windows unknown file type. That looks like this Description.ext <br />

5. Start ArmA2 and return to the Editor. Load the mission you saved in step 2 and assuming you selected option 3 in your Description.ext i.e. respawn=3;<br />
<br />
6. Place a marker at the location you want players to respawn. This is usually in your Base You will then have to name the marker one of the following:<br />
Respawn_west<br />
Respawn_east<br />
Respawn_guerrila<br />
Respawn_civilian<br />
<br />
Or you can name them the following<br />
West = bluefor<br />
East = opfor<br />
Guerrilla = Independent<br />
Civilian = civilian<br />
<br />
The marker details are up to you. If you make the marker into a larger size, like 50 by 50, you will respawn somewhere inside that area. You can also make multiple markers for the same side, naming them Respawn_east1, Respawn_east2, or Respawn_west1 or Respawn_west2. This will make respawning random<br />

<span style="font-weight: bold">Additional info </span><br />
<br />
You only need to create a marker if you selected respawn type 3. If you chose type 5, the respawn will occur wherever your squad or side is located (and only if a playable squad is created). Skip step 6 if using a type 5 respawn. Also take note you must re-save and export the mission even if no changes are made in the MP Editor. So complete step 7 even if you skipped step 6.<br />

7. Save the mission again but remember that the respawns doesn't work in preview mode. You have to now export it to <br />
Multiplayer, to see the effects if your exporting to SP, remember that a SP mission must have one unit designated as &amp;#x22;Player&amp;#x22;, <br />
Whereas, MP missions only needs one playable unit<br />

8. Exit the editor and open the SP or MP mode (whichever you exported it to) and play the mission to test it<br />
